This is a very rare xl Sosaku kokeshi by Shozan Shido. Very big and chunky version off "the winter girl".

 

Shozan Shido was born in 1932 in Oita Prefecture, where he began creating Kokeshi in the 50s. His creative works were recognized with numerous awards such as the Prime Minister's Award.
