Lovely vintage Sosaku kokeshi

This is a vintage Creative (Sosaku) Kokeshi doll, is characterized by its distinctive wide, rounded head with a carved bob hairstyle (okappa) in natural wood, adorned with a single red cherry ornament on the side. Its body is decorated with elegant, hand-painted pink and red floral blossoms and a lower red band with white cloud patterns against a natural wood grain, above a simple red base. The face has a gentle, serene, eyes-closed expression.
