Rare Vintage Creative Kokeshi by Toa Sekiguchi (1942-)

This beautiful creative (sosaku) kokeshi doll by the acclaimed master artisan Toa Sekiguchi is titled 吉祥 (Kissho), which translates to "Good Fortune" or "Auspiciousness." the doll features a distinctive, elegant egg-shaped or oval silhouette, showcasing a serene, stylized face with softly closed eyes and a gentle expression. Her elaborate kimono is richly decorated with vibrant shades of red and green, adorned with traditional Japanese motifs including Fans (sensu), stylized foliage, and delicate gold accents that glisten against a textured, purple-pink glitter gradient background.
The doll comes accompanied by its original cardboard storage box.
