Rare vintage Sosaku kokeshi by Kazuo Takamizawa

This vintage Sosaku (creative) kokeshi doll by renowned master Kazuo Takamizawa (高見沢和夫) is titled Bakushū (麦秋), which translates to "Wheat Autumn" or "Wheat Harvest Season".

Crafted from rich, beautifully grained dark wood, the doll features a serene, closed-eye expression and a slender body delicately decorated with golden stalks of wheat. The piece comes complete with its original wooden box and paper title insert highlighting its awards, including recognition at the Gunma Kokeshi Competition.
