Vintage Sosaku kokeshi by Kato Masami

This vintage creative (Sosaku) kokeshi doll crafted by master artisan Kato Masami features a tall, elegant cylindrical body paired with a rounded head showcasing fine natural wood grain. Her expression is serene and sweet, rendered with minimal black line work for the side-swept hair and closed eyes, accented by a tiny red painted mouth. The body and head wrap are detailed with delicately carved, leaf-like geometric motifs in black, pale yellow, and subtle mossy-green accents against warm, earthy wood tones that blend into a rich dark brown base.
