Elegant vintage Sosaku kokeshi by Hajime Miyashita (1940-)

This elegant creative (sosaku) Japanese wooden kokeshi doll by artist Hajime Miyashita features a tall, slender silhouette with graceful, fluid lines. Crafted from warm-toned natural wood, the doll has a round head topped with a hair bun (chignon) and a gently tilted face with peaceful, closed eyes. Her body depicts a styled kimono decorated with delicate carved floral patterns highlighted with subtle red accents, complemented by a contrasting red obi (sash) on the side and a slight red opening at the bottom hem.
