This is a rare creative kokeshi by Shozan Shido, they are wearing a Mino to protect them against the cold, rain and snow.

Shozan Shido was born in 1932 in Oita Prefecture, where he began creating Kokeshi in the 50s. His creative works were recognized with numerous awards such as the Prime Minister's Award.
