Exclusive XL Vintage kokeshi made by Sansaku Sekiguchi (1925-2018)

Beautiful Kokeshi doll created in the Creative (Sosaku) style. 

 Titled: Tsuya

Sekiguchi Sansaku was born in 1925. He is perhaps the most renowned kokeshi master and the only artisan who has ever been certified by the Japanese government as “Master of Creative Kokeshi”. He has his own museum in his birth city of Shibukawa in Gunma prefecture and it’s being managed and maintained by his sons and daughter  who are all kokeshi artists.  He has won the prestigious prime minister award three times for his amazing and unique kokeshi dolls.
