this charming creative (sosaku) kokeshi doll by the award-winning artisan Aoki Ryoka is crafted from natural wood, beautifully showcasing its organic grain. The doll depicts a serene female figure with her hands gently pressed together in a polite greeting or prayerful gesture, accentuated by large, rounded kimono sleeves that give her a distinctive, voluminous silhouette. Her kimono and sleeves are delicately hand-painted with a vibrant, cheerful motif of white, light blue, and pink cherry blossoms (sakura). Her head features a traditional topknot hairstyle, a painted hair band, and a sweet, minimalist facial expression with closed, happy eyes and a tiny red mouth, embodying the signature gentle and elegant aesthetic of Ryoka's celebrated craftsmanship.
