Exclusive one of a kind kokeshi by Yuko Yamazaki

This Japanese creative (sosaku) kokeshi doll by artist Yuko Yamazaki (山崎裕子) is titled "Seiso" (清楚), which translates to "Purity" or "Neat and Graceful Beauty." Crafted from wood with visible natural grain, the doll features long black hair surrounding a peaceful, serene expression with closed eyes. Her kimono is beautifully hand-painted with vibrant pink azalea blossoms (tsutsuji) and green foliage against a subtle light blue background. The doll comes accompanied by its original box bearing calligraphy that confirms the title, the artist's signature, and an inscription highlighting Yamazaki as a winner of the prestigious Minister of Education Award (文部大臣賞受賞作家), alongside a small watercolor illustration depicting the doll.

Yuko Yamazaki was born in 1956 in Tokyo, She was the apprentice of master Takashi Yoshida (1948-2007) She has clearly inherited his style, with her own experience and creativity she makes real masterpieces! Yuko already has a lot of awards behind her name!

Yuko also is a Instructor of the Creative Kokeshi Classroom and she is a Member of Japan Creative Kokeshi Craft Association.
