Toa Sekiguchi (born 1942) is a Japanese artist known for creating Sōsaku kokeshi, a modern style of traditional wooden dolls. He was born in Shibukawa City, Japan, and learned the craft from his father, Sansaku Sekiguchi.
His dolls are known for their elegant shapes, detailed carving, and calm facial expressions. Sekiguchi often uses fine wood and decorates his works with natural and seasonal designs. Over the years, he has received important awards in Japan, and his pieces are admired by collectors worldwide.
He is considered one of the leading artists in modern kokeshi art.
