This is a very rare Sosaku kokeshi by Shozan Shido. Tall design and decorated with just a simple black band, the wood grain is just amazing! She was always storen in the box and is in a amazing shape!
Shozan Shido was born in 1932 in Oita Prefecture, where he began creating Kokeshi in the 50s. His creative works were recognized with numerous awards such as the Prime Minister's Award
