Lovely creative kokeshi by female artisan Aoki Ryoka, she is completely tucked in against the cold winter.

Aoki Ryoka is an award-winning artisan, she began creating kokeshi dolls in 1985. Over the years she has received numerous prestigious honors, including the Minister of Education Award (2001), the Minister of International Trade and Industry Award, and the renowned Gunma Modern Kokeshi Competition. She has even been awarded the Prime Minister’s Prize twice.
