Exclusive Vintage Creative Kokeshi By Hideo Ishihara (1925-1999) - Oiran

This is a rare and vintage kokeshi by Hideo Ishihara. She is titled "Oiran" what means a highly ranked courtesan of the red-light district in the old days. 

Hideo Ishihara, is a well know Sosaku Kokeshi artist. He was born in Tokyo, and began his career by making Traditional Narugo dolls in 1957. he received more than 60 awards, including the most important off them all the Prime Minister’s Award.
