Vintage Gumma kokeshi by Kunio Miyagawa

This creative (Sosaku) Japanese kokeshi doll by renowned craftsman Kunio Miyagawa is titled "Shiki no Uta" (四季の詩, Poetry of Four Seasons). Crafted with a smooth, dark bob haircut and a serene facial expression, the doll features a deep greenish body adorned with detailed fan-shaped panels depicting motifs of the four seasons, including blossoms, irises, and autumn foliage. The accompanying original box is inscribed with the doll's title, the artist's name (Miyagawa Kunio, 宮川邦夫), his red signature seal, and mentions his awards from the Prime Minister and the Ministry of International Trade and Industry.
