Beautiful kokeshi doll created in the Creative (Sosaku) style. This is a very cute kokeshi with a well decorated kimono and a red dot.
Miyashita Hajime studied under master Kobayashi Kichitaro. He has won many awards, he won the Prime Minister award in 1977. Even Crown Prince Naruhito and Princess Masako collected his kokeshi. Miyashita Hajime retired in 2006 after his shop burned down.
