Exclusive Vintage creative Kokeshi by Shozan Shido (1932-1995)

This is a very rare piece by the famous Shozan shido! The tail, which winds from the head to the body, is a striking feature that emphasizes the elegance of the kokeshi. It provides a dynamic element, but at the same time stays true to the serene and understated appearance that is so characteristic of kokeshi dolls. The entire composition feels like a perfect interplay of simplicity, balance and refinement, giving it a stylish and graceful appearance.

Shozan Shido was born in 1932 in Oita Prefecture, where he began creating Kokeshi in the 50s. His creative works were recognized with numerous awards such as the Prime Minister's Award.
