Very beautiful sosaku kokeshi in dark wood with lovely pigtails.
Hideo Ishihara, is a well know Sosaku Kokeshi artist. He was born in Tokyo, and began his career by making Traditional Narugo dolls in 1957. he received more than 60 awards, including the most important off them all the Prime Minister’s Award.
