Vintage Creative Kokeshi By Takahashi Akinori (1957-)

This traditional Japanese kokeshi doll by artisan Takahashi Akinori, visible in image.png, features a wonderfully expressive and minimalist face with narrow, smiling eyes, delicate red lips, and fine black and red painted hair details on its rounded wooden head. The cylindrical body is beautifully decorated with elegant Japanese calligraphy running down the center, framed by a soft pink, patterned border at the top and a vibrant green bamboo motif at the base. Near the bottom, a detailed illustration of a figure in a traditional red kimono holding a golden fan adds a lovely touch of color and narrative to the piece, while a golden collar separates the head from the torso, giving the doll a refined finish.
