This is a lovely kokeshi doll by Takahashi Akinori, characterized by its serene, closed-eyed expression and elegant proportions. The body is decorated with hand-painted red and burgundy floral motifs on a warm wood grain, contrasted by a bold black band at the waist. The refined simplicity and rhythmic patterns reflect Takahashi Akinori’s modern interpretation of traditional kokeshi craftsmanship.
