Vintage Traditional Nakanosawa kokeshi by Arakawa Yoichi

Arakawa Yoichi is a Japanese artist known for crafting traditional Nakanosawa Kokeshi dolls. These dolls are a sub-style of the Tsuchiyu-kei family of Kokeshi, characterized by their tall, slender bodies, large expressive "Bikkuri-me" eyes with pink blushes, a Shishi-Bana (lion's nose), and a distinctive "pigtail" on the back of the head. Arakawa Yoichi's work is particularly known for the "Takobozu" style, which features a shaved head and octopus-like face.
