Vintage traditional Togatta kokeshi by Sakuta Takashi

This traditional Togatta kokeshi doll by master craftsman Sakuta Takashi, showcases the classic elegance of the Miyagi prefecture lineage. It features a slender, cylindrical body adorned with vibrant red chrysanthemum (kiku) motifs and delicate green foliage, framed by bold red bands at the top and base. The characteristically large head is decorated with a radiating red "tegarame" pattern on the crown, framing a serene face with narrow, smiling eyes and a small, crimson mouth that captures a timeless sense of Japanese craftsmanship.
