Very rare Sosaku kokeshi, this a kokeshi made by the famous artist Aida Harumine (Seiho). Burning and engraving techniques where used the decorate the doll.
Born in Yonezawa, Yamagata prefecture in 1926 and died in 1998, he was one of the founders of creative kokeshi in the 60s. During his career he has received numerous awards.
