Rare Vintage Creative Kokeshi By Yokozuka Ikuyoshi

kokeshi doll by renowned artisan Ikuyoshi Yokozuka. Known for his refined and modern interpretation of traditional kokeshi, Yokozuka’s work is highly sought after by collectors and design lovers worldwide.

Born in Chichibu, Saitama (birthdate unknown), Yokozuka-san later worked mainly in Yonezawa, Gunma. He began making Kokeshi in 1964 and was honored with the Prime Minister’s Award  in 1966.
