This striking vintage Sōsaku (creative) Japanese kokeshi doll features a unique, rounded egg-shaped body decorated with rich, elaborate detailing. Painted in a bold palette of deep red, black, gold, and subtle green accents, the surface is carved and painted with intricate Japanese fan patterns (ogi) reminiscent of fine Kyoto brocade textiles. Her head tilts gently to the side with delicate facial features, a quiet smile, and classic black hair carved into the smooth wooden form.
