Beautiful vintage Gumma kokeshi by Hajime Miyashita (1940-)

This creative Gunma kokeshi doll by Hajime Miyashita features a rounded, egg-shaped body clad in a rich red kimono with an intricately painted collar. The kimono is beautifully decorated with large, stylized red camellia blossoms outlined in golden yellow and black linework. The doll's serene face has closed eyes with delicate eyelashes and a small red mouth, framed by a prominent, deep burgundy carved hairstyle featuring a smooth bob cut and a rounded topknot.
