Exclusive one off a kind kokeshi by Nagisa Hirano!

I would like to introduce you all to Nagisa Hirano (23), a young, talented artist. With no less than 3 awards already to her name! And personally, I am certain that many more will follow! 😊❤️. Originally, She went to school to study Buddhist statue carving.
After that, she became interested in kokeshi dolls, and she is now currently creating kokeshi while continuing to learn new techniques at a kokeshi workshop.
Every kokeshi is unique, there will never be a second one!! So don’t wait and regret! 🫣

This elegant kokeshi by Nagisa Hirano is a beautiful example of contemporary Japanese craftsmanship, combining traditional artistry with refined symbolism. The doll features a serene, delicately carved face framed by a smooth bob hairstyle, creating a calm and timeless expression. Its deep indigo kimono is adorned with two carefully chosen floral motifs: an upper dahlia, symbolizing elegance, rich love and gratitude, and a lower lotus, representing a pure heart and inner calm. The contrast between the rich blue background and the soft white flowers enhances the sense of harmony and sophistication. Presented in its original signed wooden box, this piece embodies both aesthetic beauty and the poetic symbolism characteristic of Nagisa Hirano’s work.

Nagisa Hirano felt that these two flowers are a perfect match — the dahlia expressing feelings toward others, and the lotus expressing one’s state of mind — so she carved them together into a single piece☺️

Because it is the first time her work is leaving Japan, she wanted to do something special with the boxes and had a carpenter in Shimonita make wooden boxes for this set!
