This is a very rare kokeshi by Shozan! Lovely sleeping kokeshi with a beautiful wood grain.
Shozan Shido was born in 1932 in Oita Prefecture, where he began creating Kokeshi in the 50s. His creative works were recognized with numerous awards such as the Prime Minister's Award.
