Kokeshi doll created in the Creative (Sosaku) style.  She is titled " Hana Tsumi " which means " Gather flowers ".

It is a work of the award-winning artist Fujikawa Masae (Syoei) . Born in 1942 in Numata, in the prefecture of Gunma, he studied with the teacher Ishida Kanji (the first president of the Gunma Kokeshi cooperative from 1959 to 1962). Among the many awards won in his career he has won The "Prime Minister of Japan" twice in 1996 and 2002.
