Rare Exclusive set creative kokeshi by Kishi Sadao (1932-1998)

Very beautiful set sosaku kokeshi, they are both big and chunky! They have an unusually shape, they are completely tucked in against the cold. The kimono is decorated with some painted and engraved flowers.

Kishi was born in Maebashi, Gunma Prefecture, Kishi- san produced hundreds of Creative Kokeshi dolls until his passing. During his career, he received numerous awards including winning the Prime Minister's Award and the Minister of Economy.
