Beautiful lady by Shido Shozan! The kimono is beautifuly engraved to give the kokeshi a other dimension.
Master Shido was born in 1932 and raised in Oita Prefecture, where he began creating Kokeshi in 1957. His creative works were recognized with numerous awards such as the Prime Minister's Award. His Kokeshi are highly wanted by collectors and are therefore hard to find.
