Cute kokeshi with a lovely expresion. This kokeshi represent a young girl going to school. Also the Mage is engraved using the chattering technique.

Born in Yonezawa, Yamagata prefecture in 1926 and died in 1998, he was one of the founders of creative kokeshi in the 60s. During his career he has received numerous awards.
