Rare vintage Sosaku kokeshi by Inosuke Kobayashi (1931-)

This wooden kokeshi doll by Inosuke Kobayashi is a refined example of traditional Japanese folk craftsmanship. The figure is carved from natural wood and finished with a warm, honey-toned patina that highlights the grain of the material.
