This handcrafted creative (sosaku) kokeshi doll by master artisan Sumitani Kohji features a warm autumnal theme titled Autumn Leaves (Momiji). The doll stands out with its rich, deeply carved relief work across the lower body, showcasing intricately detailed maple leaves textured with fine stippling and finished in deep red tones. She wears a dark green/olive kimono accentuating the reddish maple leaf patterns and a soft orange-patterned obi sash at the waist. Complementing the intricate carving is her smooth, dark bob hair framing a gently smiling face with slender, closed eyes, radiating a serene and elegant presence.
