Vintage Sosaku kokeshi by Issetsu Kuribayashi (1924-2011)

This vintage creative (sosaku) kokeshi doll by the prominent artist Issetsu Kuribayashi features an elegant, slender, and elongated wooden body mounted on a square wooden display base. The doll depicts a traditional wood-carrier girl (Ohara me), recognizable by the bundle of small wooden logs balanced atop her head, which is shown in closer detail in image_2.png.
