This elegant creative vintage Sosaku (creative) kokeshi doll titled "Tsukikage" (月かげ, meaning "Moonlight") is crafted by the award-winning artisan Sato Suigai (翠佐 / 佐藤翠佐). The doll features a sleek, elongated silhouette hand-painted in deep navy blue, beautifully adorned with delicate white and gold cherry blossom (sakura) motifs that evoke a serene night scene. Her gently tilted natural wood head exhibits a quiet, peaceful expression with closed eyes. According to the original wooden storage box label, the artist is a recipient of the prestigious Prime Minister's Award (内閣総理大臣賞受賞作家) and a member of the Japan Modern Kokeshi Artists Association.
